Principle
When mud cakes form on TBM cutterhead and soil chamber, the stripping agent is injected into the soil chamber and cutterhead under pressure, allowing it to soak the mud cake. Through microscopic electrostatic forces, the molecules of the stripping agent adsorb onto the clay surface. By penetrating the soil, the agent quickly enters the soil mass, detaching and separating large soil blocks. It neutralizes the negative charges on the soil, reducing the adhesion between the clay and TBM cutting tools and other mechanical components. With the cutterhead rotating and stirring the soil, the mud cake is fully soaked, stirred, and detached.improving the soil structure in the chamber and addressing the cutterhead mud cake issue.
