Principle
Mixing and Injection: clay shock powder is mixed with water in a certain proportion to form component A. component A and sodium silicate (component B) are pumped separately under a certain ratio and through their pipelines to the mixing point outside the radial holes, where they are mixed and then injected into the designated position through the radial holes. The mixed material has high viscosity and plasticity, and is not easily diluted by water.
Mechanism of Settlement Control: The clay shock can promptly fill the gap between the excavation diameter and the TBM body during the tunneling process of the TBM. This material has a certain supporting capacity and low strength, which can effectively prevent soil settlement and deformation. Due to its characteristic of never solidifying, the clay shock will not get the TBM stuck due to the solidification of the material.
