Application
The snake robot can be used for flushing and cleaning mudcakes from the TBM cutterhead. Additionally, this robotic arm can carry a camera to inspect the cutterhead's condition and has the integrated capability for non-destructive testing, welding, cutting, and other technologies, enabling multifunctional maintenance and repair of the TBM cutterhead.

Product Feature
Motion Principle:
The design of the snake-shaped robot enables it to move flexibly within the narrow space of the wellbore wall. It is connected by multiple joints, and each joint is equipped with an independent driving device. The motors or drivers of the driving joints work in a certain order and with a certain force, allowing the robot to move forward, backward, turn, etc. along the wellbore wall, thus reaching the position where the mud cake needs to be removed. The surface of its body is equipped with a special attachment device, which enhances the friction with the wellbore wall to prevent slipping during movement and ensures stable movement in the vertical or inclined wellbore wall environment.
Mud Cake Removal Principle:
Mechanical Scraping: The robot is equipped with specialized scraping tools. When the robot moves on the wellbore wall, the scrapers come into contact with the surface of the mud cake, and the mud cake is scraped off the wellbore wall through the movement of the robot. High-pressure Water Jet Cleaning: The mud cake is broken and washed away by the powerful impact force of the high-speed water flow. The pressure and flow rate of the water jet can be adjusted according to the characteristics of the mud cake, such as its hardness and thickness. Chemical Dissolution: The robot can also carry or release materials capable of dissolving the mud cake, making the structure of the mud cake loose and easier to be scraped or washed away.
Control and Monitoring Principle:
Remote Control: Operators control the snake-shaped robot on the ground through wired or wireless communication methods. The control instructions include the movement direction and speed of the robot, as well as the operation of the mud cake removal tools. Status Monitoring: The robot is equipped with various sensors to monitor its own status and the working environment.
