On April 11, 2025, the Hunan Zhongtian Rock Drilling R&D Center of Fujian Zhongtian Group conducted specialized research on slurry shield tunneling machines. Mud Cake Barrier Mud Comparison Experiment. This is the mud sample collected by the customer directly from the on-site slurry pond, and we conducted a targeted test on it. In this project, coagulants such as quicklime were added during the mud filtration process, so we needed to verify their effectiveness. The experimental results clearly demonstrate significant improvements.
For many years, the Hunan Zhongtian Rock Drilling R&D Center has been diligently researching the mechanisms behind mud cake formation as well as developing corresponding solutions. They have successively introduced innovative products and technologies such as cutterhead coatings designed to prevent mud cake buildup, and high-pressure water-jet systems powered by serpentine robots for effective cleaning. In March 2025, Hunan Zhongtian Rock Drilling unveiled its latest advancement: a slurry shield machine.
