The Tianjin International Airport Tunnel No. 1 Project cross strata such as silty clay, muddy clay, and fine sand. A mobile underground mixing station solution was implemented for the shield construction.
An additional No. 6 platform was equipped with a double-liquid grouting mixing station (integrated storage, mixing, and pumping unit), significantly reducing the cost of grout transport vehicles.
