Technological innovation is the cornerstone of enterprise development, while service provides the guarantee for enterprise growth. In the past year, 2023, Fujian Zhongtian—including Fujian Zhongtian Transportation, Fujian Zhongtian Heavy Industry, Hunan Zhongtian Rock Drilling, and Sanming Kaitai—achieved outstanding results once again. The top ten events have been selected and are hereby made public.

1. Awards: One First Prize for Science and Technology in Huaxia Construction for 2023; one First Prize for Science and Technology from the China Highway Society for 2023; one Second Prize for Science and Technology from the China Transportation Association for 2023.

2. Rooted in the frontline, he led his team to provide technical support for the underpass of over 800 first- and special-grade risk sources using tunnel boring machines domestically. Zhang Yantao, Deputy General Manager of the company and Deputy Director of the Technology Center, was awarded the title of “TBM Craftsman” at the 2nd Session of the Beijing TBM Association.

3. Obtained authorization for two invention patents and two utility model patents. Among these, the invention patent for the KneiXiao material is the only one granted to a domestic enterprise.

4. The Technology Center continues its R&D efforts, with a technology transfer rate exceeding 70%. The fifth-generation clay-control material, the new third-generation segment fixing and installation technology, and the second-generation anti-sludge-cake coating technology have already been widely adopted in tunnel boring machine (TBM) construction projects both domestically and internationally.

5. In 2023, Fujian Zhongtian Clay-Control Technology served 121 tunneling projects involving first- and special-grade risk sources that were passed underneath, and successfully established clay films in pressurized chamber openings six times. “Zero” errors and “zero” settlement are the sole requirements of Fujian Zhongtian Clay-Control Technology. The technical team provides comprehensive solutions for clients, tailored to different geological strata, covering aspects such as clay-control grouting, setting tunneling parameters, muck conditioning, attitude control, and management of synchronous grouting.

6. In 2023, the company successfully qualified as a fan supplier for China Railway Group. In 2023, Yutielong-branded fans demonstrated outstanding performance in high-altitude and long tunnels, earning high praise from customers. The company received over 130 orders for the year and delivered more than 80 units.

7. After five years of research and development, the synchronous dual-fluid grouting technology for tunnel boring machines has successfully been applied to the Beijing East Sixth Ring Road and the Jiangyin Yangtze River Tunnel. In 2023, the company secured another contract for four sets of dual-fluid slurry preparation stations.

8. We have independently developed a synchronous dual-liquid grouting stabilizer for tunnel boring machines, with parameter specifications surpassing those of several foreign brands. The product has now been upgraded to its fifth-generation model. In 2023, following the successful application of our technology in Macao’s first tunnel constructed by TBM and in the large-diameter TBM project at Guang’ao Port, we won bids for two ultra-large-diameter TBM projects—the Jingbin and Tianwei lines.

9. Fujian Zhongtian has been cooperating with Shanghai Nato for 11 years and has consistently been Nato’s largest agent for tunnel boring machine lubricants over the years. In 2023, it delivered outstanding performance on numerous large-diameter tunnel boring machines, including those used in the Xiangya Road Tunnel, the Shenzhen-Jiangmen Railway, the Shantou-Shantou Railway, the Changjiu Railway, the Chongqing Yangtze River Tunnel, and the Haizhu Bay Tunnel.

10. Hunan Zhongtian Rock Drilling has been awarded the title of National High-Tech Enterprise.
